I would like to welcome all of you to our chess groups for the upcoming Year.

            We at the Hudson County Chess Association will be directing groups accordingly in Hudson County .

            Our mission is to allow the wonderful game of chess to be available to all.

            To provide the student with ALL the tools to succeed, with the theory that if you learn properly, the enjoyment will increase accordingly.

Below is a picture of our very popular Newport Chess group, with a membership of appoxiamatly 40 students.

Vrutik present with trophy he won at the New Jersey Open,  winning 4 out of 5 games.

Vrutik Also won at the World Open with a score of 7 out of 9.

He also championed in the previous GARDEN STATE SCHOLASTIC – JULY

going 4-0 and at PS 116 AUGUST 2009, NEW YORK, NY , USA going 4-0 as well.

In this period Vrutik raised his USCF rating over 475 points.

Another Great Weekend!

Last weekend (02/28/09)

at the Jersey City Public school championship,

Students from the Newport Chess club domanated.

OUR NEWEST CHAMPION.

Kindergarten Champion Surya Sendhilraj

won all his games to place first.

First grader Adhish won the first grade championship,

And All the second graders succeded! as well.

And it gets better.
